TLDR: Is there a “sweet spot” regarding buying before earnings ?
For a few months now I have been experimenting with buying before earnings. My general premise at first involved the adage “buy the rumor, sell the news”. I was seeing some success buying and selling before earnings. For example, earnings are on a Friday. I buy one week before, sell on Monday or Tuesday. So I started buying a lot earlier, but I'm running in to more and more stocks that would have been best bought a few days prior to earnings or even on the same day. Any opinions on generalities? Sweet spots? Any advice or experiences welcome! Thank you!!
