How is the world preparing for recession? If, there is going to be one.

Yesterday saw a news clip where Jeff Bezos is asking people not to buy costly items to prepare for recession. I am in India, things don't look that bad here. I have kept about 25% of my equity out of stocks and kept as preparation. Wondering if i should increase it upto 50%. Also some of you may not know, our banks usually give 3% interest on any bank deposits annually So keeping it out isn't that bad.
