How does a limit order execute at market open?

Let’s say that I buy a stock for $100. Then on Sunday night (before the market opens on Monday) I set a sell limit order for $90.

If the stock opens on Monday at $85, will my limit order still execute and my stock will be sold at $90 even though it opened lower ($85) or will it wait until the price hits exactly $90 on Monday?
