Mods, I'm sorry if this is considered a low value question but after some googling and youtube videos me and my friends are still confused.
If I own 100,000 shares in Company A, and company A announces that a dividend amount of 12.51 cents per stock unit will be paid to shareholders. Then am I correct in calculating that I would receive 12510 aka 100,000 * .1251.
If not, then can someone break it down for me or point me to a video that does.
Thanks
