Supposedly the top 100 companies in the UK and the index has barely moved over the last 20 years. The PE ratio is 10.9 relative to a 10 year average of 22.8 (someonw please correct me if I’m wrong). So many companies I’m looking at have historical low PE ratios now, whilst balance sheets are strong. Many companies are now offering quite appealing dividends of 6%+. Yes the country isn’t very tech or business growth orientated but does that warranty the low multiples it trades at?
