Waste Management (WM) reported Wednesday Q3 adjusted earnings of $1.56 per diluted share, up from $1.26 a year ago.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.52.
The company said Q3 revenue was $5.08 billion, compared with $4.67 billion last year.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ estimated $5.06 billion.
Shares rose by nearly 3% in premarket trading, but down since.
