I want to do a bit of sentiment analysis on this sub, how many of you think it is possible to beat the market?

Many people cite the statistic “90% of day traders lose money in the long run” or “85% of fund managers are unable to beat the market.”

Do you think its actually possible to beat the market by picking stocks or trading options? Or would you be better off with everything in VOO or VSTAX?
