Analysts are making wild predictions about the future with millions of uncertainty but can't even calculate the CPI for last month? The economy is hurting because of that the inflation is high which everyone can and somewhat measure. If CPI is 8.1 or 8.3 shouldn't matter about how the future is doing.
I really don't understand why the release of CPI is so important when you basically could have you daily updated index by looking at prices. Sure it's not the exact same number but CPI is not magically better at predicting the economic future compared to your approximate inflation.
