I’m an European investor and I’ve been invested in US companies for a little over a year now. I have seen some gains here and there but mostly because of the Dollar gaining value of around 15% in relation to the Euro. The S&P 500 is also down something like 15% which almost evens out those losses.
Now I’m wondering if it would be smart to sell my $ positions to buy Euro hedged ETF’s. I think because of the hawkish trend the European bank is following the last few weeks that the Euro is becoming a little more attractive again.
Is it smart to sell everything to buy a € hedged S&P 500 ETF?
Ps.
It don’t pay capital gains tax in my country or does it affect any other tax manner.
