What is the type of stock I’ve seen recently grow in popularity?

I can’t find the name of this anywhere. It’s basically stock that is an open ended fund but is a single company stock. The acronym for this genre of stock starts with an “M”.

They are kind of like hedge funds but traded like stocks, they may be holding companies or management companies. Thank you!!
