Can someone please explain the FED rates and how does it influence the economy and the stocks?

Basicly the title. Please explain like I’m 10 years old. I have minor economic background but I don’t understand US economy much and how the rates influence it and the stocks. I expect to be downvoted to hell but I would appreciate if some off you found the time to explain
