Like Index fund/ETFs, can you set and forget a single company’s stocks?

Hello!

Full disclaimer, I don't spend anytime researching a company because I never learnt how to do that. So that's why I buy VOO, QQQ in my Roth account. I keep DCA'ing. 401K, I kept it as default, it's a Blackrock Target Retirement fund.

Now since I've maxed out my Roth, I've been thinking of investing in my brokerage account. Currently, I have like $1000-$1200 in my brokerage, most of which is VTI and QQQ. My investment window is atleast 4 years since I don't see any big expenses coming soon. Is it a good idea to buy MSFT without researching the company? I like their products and I don't see people not using Windows anytime in the future. These are my only dumb reasons. I won't make it my 100% portfolio but some part of it.

Please let me know what you guys think. Feel free to simply say, “You're too dumb for buying a company, keep buying index funds”.

Thanks!

Edit: I'm about to turn 28, if it matters.
