No one is surprised by the Fed’s intention to continue to raise rates. Why is the media saying the market is currently reacting to the expectation that rate hikes will continue? This is no surprise.
Jerome Powell announced over and over again that he intends to continue raising rates to fight inflation. He never mentioned a pivot. Why would anyone be surprised by Powell reaffirming this during his speech?
Why is the media using this tired excuse for the recent drop? What are they not telling us?
