Good morning all!
We at WRKS Games have always liked the idea of being funded by our community and by retail investors instead of VCs and institutions. We have traveled the entirety of the pre-seed startup phase with the Founder's investment only and are now revenue generating and ready to look at bringing retail investors onboard.
We see three options:
- Equity Crowdfunding, like Crowdcube or SEEDRs
- An early IPO on a secondary market like the UKs AIM
- Taking investment directly from the general public ourselves in a structured open round and adding you, the investor, straight into our cap table
So my question to this community is: which of the above would be your preferred choice if you were trying to invest in an early-stage private game company that is looking to scale and take investors on that journey?
If you want to know more about us before answering, we are here: https://www.wrks-games.com/
Many thanks in advance and looking forward to a vibrant discussion on this!
best regards
