So I think we are heading to a recession, so I was looking at SQQQ and other short market ETFs. My issue is that looking at the charts it seems like all of these ETFs go down even in times of crisis. Some made gains in a month because of COVID but other than that it seems straight downhill.
Are these ETFs useful for shorting the market? I don't want to actually short because then I'd have to get margin. Ideas?
