I haven't been using investment trackers for a long time, but I've learned a lot about how to make them work for me. My previous tracker was great for showing me how much money I had and where it was going but didn't help me figure out how to invest my money in a way that would make me more money. After a while, I started looking into other options and found Wealthfront. It has helped me get on track to reaching my goal of financial independence, but I still feel like there are ways to improve it. For example,
It doesn't let me see all my investments at once. Instead, it only shows one at a time. It can be challenging when trying to compare different options and decide which ones are best suited for your needs or goals. The interface is very complicated and requires too many steps before getting any kind of useful information out of it, it takes five clicks from the home screen before executing any request (and then only gives one number). I had some issues with setting up an account and getting my money in there. So I ended up using Personal Capital instead. It's pretty good so far, but it doesn't work well on mobile devices (which is something I use often).
I am not trying to figure out how to make my own tracker that works better than the one I'm using now, Especially for my crypto investments, and the way the markets right now seem like there are so many little things that I need to get right in order not to miss out on potential gains, it can feel impossible at times.
I want to switch again but I haven't found one that works for me quite yet, I feel like they can be a little bit of a pain. It's not that they don't work, they do! It's just that I can't make one myself and I want something where I can get all my information in one place, add investment accounts and get the most accurate view of my investments at any given time. Also, make it easy for me to keep track of all kinds of information about every account and make things much easier for me to oversee and make well-informed decisions. I recently came across Delta app and GnuCash, from the reviews I read about them they both seem to get close to what I am looking for.
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on these or others that may be better?
