Regardless of the trade here are some thoughts:
- What did you learn from this trade? Write it down in a trading journal. Which you are NOW starting today.
- How much reading and research did you do before the trade. Did your emotions over ride your investing discipline.
- Are you a compulsive gambler unwilling to even understand the odds of your success let alone the viability of any given trade?
- If you already know everything you are incapable of learning. Relearn everything you know about what you are doing but focus that information on knowing how your own emotions trigger your behavior instead of your knowledge and discipline.
- Study the role money will play in the time line of your life and the impact you wish it to have. Gain a mastery of your own risk literacy and how your tolerance for risk, because you don't understand it, is limiting your success.
- Learn from every trade.
- Write down the sources of your “discipline” and cross check them to your results. Diversify and create a discipline that matches your personal risk literacy.
