I've owned a certain stock for a few months, buying shortly after their price crashed. I noticed it has been getting noticed again on Reddit due to a high borrow fees, currently sitting at around 200%. I've never looked at the borrow fee before so I don't really know much about it but it gets brought up a lot with GME/BBBY talks lately.
Is 200% borrow fees on a stock indicative of anything – more/less likely to be shorted because the fee is so high? I think I understand that it makes it harder to borrow, but am confused on how something even gets to be 200% when it sounds like anything over 10% is usually considered high.
