subsidiary company in the stock market

Let's say we have a public company in the stock market.

And you own shares in this company.

A subsidiary company of this company enters the stock market independently.

What happens to my shares?

I have shares in a Greek company of real estate which will do exactly that most probably in winter and I don't know what to expect.
