I’m a college student and already have $21k in various tech stocks that I’m
pretty happy about keeping for the long term. But I have another $10,000 from saving and want to know where I should put it for the long term. ETFs? Vanguard? S&P 500? NASDAQ? These are some of my ideas but the return seems minimal, but of course they are “safe”. Can I expect my money to do something in these safe bets? I don’t want to risk it, but I also don’t want to make a messily couple thousand dollars over the next twenty years when I could’ve invested elsewhere. Considering an annual growth of 10% in these ETFs, at $10k that’s coming out to not much. Will the gains be seen by consistently adding more money? I’d like to focus on my career and let this money grow, and enjoy the benefits of it in 20 years.
