I was given some funds by my grandmother after she died. They were managed by an Ameriprise advisor for a while, but now they are transferred to a Schwab account were they seem to be preforming well. That being said, I have no understanding of the funds I have (nobody is managing the account) and whether they could tank permanently at any given moment. For reference, I am possibly interested in withdrawing those funds (30K) at some point in about 4 years.
Should I be selling and transferring to something more stable?
