Stocks surge, Taiwan crisis looms

The recent Taiwan Crisis sparked by Ms. Pelosis visit to Taiwan seems far from over. US markets shrugged off the war mongering rethoric from China as nothing happened that hindered the flight from landing.

The long term consequences seems more dire. Taiwan supplies 90 % of the worlds advanced electronic chips. To produce these they need to import sand, which just was banned by China to sell to the Island state.

Further on, Chinese naval assets are suroundering Taiwan, and will comit live fire exercises above the Island. For the first time in history. The risk of a stray rocket is high, but what is more understated is that this litteraly would be a blockade of Taiwan both at sea and air. The question is just how long will it last.

Let us see how long the market rallies this time.
