Hi all, I previously had this money in a high interest savings account (Marcus by Goldman Sachs) because I wanted to use it as the down payment on a condo, but I realized I'm better off just renting for the time being. I am 31/f/ and living in Brooklyn, NY where housing is insanely expensive but I have a dream apartment with very fair rent and a great landlord right now. I have a steady job (125k salary, 5 years at the company) and set aside a year's savings apart from this and have a 401k through work.
I'm pretty overwhelmed at the options for how I could invest this–I just opened up an account with Charles Schwab but it's currently just sitting for now because I'm not sure where to go from here. Was suggested VTI by a friend but would love some more opinions.
