VTI’s Role in my Portfolio – A Question

Before I knew too much about stocks and allocation, I bought a big chunk of VTI and VOO at the same time. I now realize that VTI and VOO are pretty similar in gains and allocation.

Now I am sitting here wondering what to do with my VTI. My current thoughts are to turn off DRIP for VTI only and throw its dividends into other positions. But I am open to ideas.

If I sell VTI now, given the recent market gains, I would have to pay taxes on it (granted, I may have enough loss to offset its gains). At this point I’m thinking it’s probably fine to hold a big chunk of VTI and VOO but turn off DRIP for VTI and reallocate it elsewhere.

Thoughts on what I should actually do with this VTI?
