War and crises

Moscow has high hopes that soon the Ukrainian people will get tired of the war, and the population of European countries will get tired of helping Ukraine and strict adhering to its own sanctions imposed against Russia seeking to build a new empire. At the same time, the Kremlin is acting cunningly and cleverly in its own way, since it does not hope for weariness purely from military operations in Eastern Europe. The leadership of the Russian Federation is making great efforts to cause and exacerbate as much as possible three crises on the entire European continent: energy, food and migration.

Naturally, Moscow persistently offers Brussels, Berlin, Paris and other influential actors in the European arena to help overcome the crisis (if we are talking about migration) or even completely eliminate it (speaking of energy problems). But! It is in exchange for a significant easing of sanctions pressure. Accordingly, if the European Union, Great Britain and other states of the anti-war coalition continue their course of assisting Ukraine in repelling external aggression, the leadership of the Russian

Federation will tirelessly look for new ways to intensify the three crises mentioned.

This is what German Chancellor O. Scholz tried to convey to his audience in a column for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on 07/17/22. According to him, restrictions against the Russian Federation will remain for a long time and this will certainly cause certain difficulties for the Germans and other European peoples, however, V. Putin's neo-colonial course must be stopped! He also clarified that restrictive measures would not be lifted from the Russian Federation, even if it manages to impose a peace treaty on Ukraine on unfavorable terms for the latter.

The German Chancellor explained that if the external aggression of the Russian Federation is not stopped today in Ukraine, then tomorrow the Kremlin will send troops to those states that it considers its sphere of influence – Georgia, Moldova and the Baltic countries. Moreover, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are members of NATO, so tomorrow the war may already be between Russia and the Alliance. As O. Scholz emphasized, if the countries of the West and their allies do not punish the Russian Federation today, then tomorrow it will mean that force can violate the law without consequences.

At the same time, the head of the government of the country, which is the strongest and most prosperous economy of the EU, honestly warned the Germans and all Europeans that a new crisis (already the fourth one) is approaching, which, however, is of an objective nature – the crisis of the global economy. Of course, it has many causes distributed all over the planet – from China to Venezuela (although it is clear that the war unleashed by the Russian Federation only spurs the global recession). Therefore, the German Chancellor summed up that no country in the world can stand alone against such a development of events!

Reacting to such a position of European politicians, the Russian concern Gazprom sent out official notices to its customers in Germany and Austria that it could not guarantee gas supplies via the Nord Stream-1 pipeline due to extraordinary circumstances beyond its control. Naturally, if O. Scholz had written a column in which he called for mitigating restrictions against the Russian Federation, Gazprom would have forgotten about some force majeure circumstances.

There is no doubt that Moscow will play such games with all Western countries, looking for certain “weak points” in them and offering its “friendly help” in exchange for lifting sanctions. Well, well, that is precisely why the anti-war coalition is helping to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine in its selfless struggle against totalitarianism and neo-colonialism.
