Contra Firm…..help

I was checking the tax lots on a position that I've been buying for the past year (which I do regularly) and I noticed something new. On 2 of the oldest lots it says contra firm, which it never said before. After consulting investopedia, I'm still a bit confused. My understanding is that in order to get the shares I bought from my broker they went to a contra broker which is not a market maker but similar as they provide liquidity. My question is why would Etrade (Morgan Stanley) all off the sudden add CF to the 2 particular lots? Should I be concerned? Could this be because of the investigation ongoing with Morgan? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
