Hello all, as the markets have been quite volatile for sometime, and I consider myself a novice trader, i’ve taken the time for the past few months to paper trade and try out different strategies.
I can’t sit in front of a computer all day monitoring positions realistically, so daytrading isn’t for me (i could day trade in the first hour). However, what i’d like to do is swing trade as it’s a lot more calmer, simpler and i feel i can handle it.
I might get crucified by r/investing, but i’m a trader not an investor- I believe in technical analysis and learning the patterns of a stock (it has made me money before)
As I was browsing finviz looking for setups, i realized looking through every stock is painstaking. I had the idea to select around 5 -10 highly liquid, high volume stocks to trade shares and options , and learn the technicals behind each one so i can become an expert
I read Covel’s Trend Following. He talks about how trading is like being a sniper, you have to know your surroundings and patiently wait.
My list of stocks so far include for swing trading (day to day)

AMD
TSLA
AMZN
META
NVDA
are there any stocks i am missing?
