Hi, probably a silly question….
I am just wondering, when a company is listed on the London and NY stock market, what is the difference? For example, Diageo trade on the London and NY market but at different prices and the values move independently from each other – so if one goes up the other one doesn't necessarily too. What is the difference between, for example, Diageo on the London market and Diageo on the NY market – why would the values move separately to each other and how would you know which to invest in, if they are the same company?
