To Swing Traders

I'm talking specifically about those traders that try to get relatively high returns from swinging. What strategy do you use? How are you affected by the bear market? What type of stocks are you trying to trade and do you stick to a usual holding period? Is trying to get 30% returns in one week consistently an overshot? I'm trying to start swinging and would appreciate some thoughts.
