It's counterintuitive but I'm getting more and more Youtube ads from people claiming they can teach “almost anyone” to make extra cash in the market.
I know from experience that although these ads are generally BS, they sometimes are based on some kind of principle. The caveat is of course that:
- All the claims of success as highly exaggerated and the losses hidden.
- The student testimonials are probably dodgy.
- Get-rich-quick schemes only benefit the seller of the courses.
However, I could guess some of the principles behind some of these course:
- Ads about “make money on stocks you were going to buy any way” — Probably about the wheel.
- Ads about “learn how the elite are trading and follow the money” — Probably about following the trades of Congress and CEOs via disclosures.
There are many variations of these courses. I was wondering if you guys can point out the principles that these courses are based on. For example, one I get a lot lately:
- Ad about “trading on reversals” — what kind of technical trading is this?
Warning: I think you cannot link to Youtube videos here. So don't link to any of these courses even if it is to show a bad example.
tldr All these courses being advertised — what sliver of useful information are they based on? If you took one (no judgement), what was it like?
