What would happen if a foreign power attempted a hostile takeover of a company such as Boeing or Lockheed Martin?

This crossed my mind recently. Sure, it would be a huge effort, but if one has sufficient money isn’t this theoretically possible?

Considering how vital these companies are to the US military, how would the US government intervene? Are there already preventative measures in place to stop this from ever happening?

Personally, I feel that such companies such as BA, LMT, RTX etc should probably be in the hands of the US government considering how important they are, but that isn’t the case.
