A year ago I read an article in the Harvard business review it was dated in 2009. Calling an end to the old way of finance. I didn’t really understand the significance of this new way of finance. But I agreed that a change is needed
Nobody realizes this, but a new financial market is being developed right in front of us.
New financial instruments are being created and the government is creating a regulatory framework for those financial instruments.
Cryptocurrency.
Everyone calls crypto a scam. Or useless. Or whatever negative connotation they can conjure up.
I think this is because the white papers or academic literature is highly technical so it’s very difficult to understand the practical use.
The idea behind this new money is to create a more fair, more open system apart from the traditional equities markets.
We all understand that the current system is toxic. Wall Street and it’s cronies have robbed us blind. Corporations have gained enormous paper wealth. But In cases like Walmart. Workers have been exploited. paying employees 9 dollars an hour to be a slave.
Wallstreet is nervous. They will have to get real jobs. Insider trading is not a job ‘Steven cohen’
The federal reserve has shifted policy as well. They are not going to accommodate financial markets. Interest rates will probably normalize to pre 2008 levels where 5% was normal. A tighting of credit will slow asset purchases to a crawl. We already see new mortgage creation at decade lows. This will collapse prices in real estate, As demand will subside.
We are coming to a new frontier. Crypto will give us freedom and new opportunities. Yes I know you don’t believe it. But things don’t stay the same forever.
