The only reason the market “kind of” works how it “should”

The stock market is flawed. Yeah who cares everyone knows. But really, value investors will tell you that you should burn in hell for paying attention to short term prices because long term, stocks follow value. However, the only reason this works is because the SEC exists and does not tolerate market manipulation. If no government agencies stepped in, stocks would be totally irrational long and short term because they are really just numbers on a screen that don’t benefit you unless you sell. What’s so bad about market manipulation? What, are you crying because that makes the market not follow fundamentals? Wake up and I’ll point you to just one stock chart. Open your eyes, the market ALREADY does not follow fundamentals. There is no difference TECHNICALLY between shares of Amazon and Palantir in the flawed world.

TLDR: The stock market is just a game. Fundamentally the market does NOT follow fundamentals unless a regulator steps in. You should do value Investing because it’s the most reliable, but don’t feel like you should burn in hell if you don’t do it.
But overall, Man Yells at Cloud
