Okay so at 19, I invested $9k in AMC stock, at it’s peak I had over $56k, which was all my money at the time and I am now 21.
I had to pay around 10k for college but I kept holding the rest due to the belief that it will keep going up as everyone in the community was suggesting. Month by month, my portfolio disappeared, honestly I am so numb I kinda don’t care, but 56k in profits gone is kinda depressing. Now I don’t even have enough to run my e-commerce business, gotta find a part time job on the side. To make matters worse, my dad is dealing with financial issues and depression, my money could have helped my family so much.
Lesson learnt: Take the money and run!
