If Japan was an economic powerhouse and their stock market crashed and STILL hasn’t recovered decades later, how is the US different?

We all talk on here about how the stock market WILL recover and will even keep going up for decades to come.

However, I researched a little about this, and apparently first off the US stock exchange trades for a premium compared to other stock exchanges.

Next, I came across japans economy. They used to be a superpower. Some even thought they would overtake the US economic wise.

But it crashed… and it has never went back to that high.

What makes the US different? I’d love to hear your opinions. I’m not too educated on the subject.
