PDT rule for non-us short seller?

I'm a non-us resident and I read that PDT rule still applies since trading in a us stock market.

I open my account with 35k margin account and holding a 11k short position (in the green of couple hundreds). Does it mean that i'm now under PDT?

I'm only confuse because if I close my short position, I'm not losing money. I'll still have 35k anytime..
