SPY was $337 on Feb 14 2020. If you panic sold doomer before any pandemic drop, you'd be well behind. SPY dropped to $297 on March 20. The bottom. SPY is $415 today. SPY needs to drop 18% from here to even match the pre-COVID high. So, selling at any point because of pandemic fears was the wrong move. The conclusion is that buy and hold is superior and the data proves it.
