ETF Climate Risk

Im curious, with all these climate risks we are now placing on stocks, are ETF like iShares at risk of having their index funds compromised?

There is a video on youtube from a guy HSBC recently fired stating that the models for climate risk are broken, and outlines specifically why. They add large interest rate spikes and negative GDP growth into the models, making returns look worse than they would realistically be.

So are index funds at risk of this kind of climate fanaticism. Are funds at risk of being driven by politics rather than real returns?

I see some things put out by iShares now, so it seems they could be headed down that path. Could hypothetically an alternative non-politically centric etf focused on pure growth outperform an iShares fund in the long run?
