Inflation uncertainty, and political risk (Ukraine) is killing stocks right now. Even on an up day I feel like it will just be reversed soon. The stock market has been so volatile since the war began and 8%+ inflation hit.
I know there is always money to be made somewhere, but I have a full time job and can’t focus on researching individual equities, so my retirement funds have always been in equity mutual funds for the past 15 years.
Recently I moved 80% of my funds to an Inflation Linked bond fund and waiting to see what the Fed does and if they’re able to quickly contain inflation (They won’t).
There is just so much money in the current economy lately with basically free borrowing, and with all the global troubles economically with labor and product shortages it also doesn’t seem to bode well for valuations in the near future.
