pulling out, a successful venture

A lot of negativity going around here, but just wanted to share my success over the last two years.

I didn't like individual stock investing as it gave me too much anxiety. (looking back I'm super glad I didnt I vest into tech.. Seems like most people are in on Amazon, Microsoft, nvidia, google etc. And are hurting bad)

Instead I opted for a mutual fund. I chose vdigx as it's a dividend growth fund. At its peak I was up around $18k, today I'm up around 12k.

Mainly due to the dividend payouts each quarter. When the market is down these payments really helped to negate the losses.

Pulling out as I'm putting a down payment on a first time home purchase with the savings/gains, and feel like it's the right time overall. I'll continue to invest in the future, but I'm under 30 and my generation is being priceded out of ever affording homes. It may be a bad time to buy an inflated priced home, but I'll be glad to get out of renting and maybe start a family.

Goodluck to everyone else. Here's hoping the market continues an upward trend. I'm pulling out 5% daily.
