Tesla (TSLA.O) has submitted documents to the city of Los Angeles on May 19 local time, applying to open a 24-hour restaurant at 7001 Santa Monica Avenue in Hollywood. The 9,300-square-foot restaurant is understood to include a drive-in movie theater and a supercharging station. Tesla did not provide further details about the restaurant's opening date or menu. Musk said in February that he planned to start futuristic restaurants and drive-in theaters in the Hollywood neighborhood. He also added that restaurants can pay with the virtual currency Dogecoin.
