I just finished reading, “The little book of common sense investing.” It contends that picking individual stocks is a losing game. People that do so on average make 7% a year while the S&P makes 9%.
Index investing is the only guaranteed way to grow your wealth long term. Why place all bets on a few stocks when you can bet on the entire market? Stocks yield high risk in a market that’s already risky. Index’s protect your money and guarantee long term wealth.
Even so called knowledgeable traders fail to beat the market. Hedge fund managers are run by people who live and breathe the stock market. Yet they fail to outperform index funds.
Now please tell me why I’m wrong. If you buy individual stocks you’re making the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE.
