All the talking heads on CNBC and money managers have been saying that they are waiting for a capitulation where vix goes above 40 and we see a overcorrection, institutions blow up etc… before buying in.
Why does this need to happen during this downturn? I dont see any immediate macro factors that would suggest it has to happen.
2020 might have been an outlier of uncertainty that changed the way we lived for some time, but other than that information travels so much faster these days and it isnt hard to find out why stocks are going down for folks to not panic sell at the sight of blood.
From what I gather retail has been holding the line so far. Why do we need to panic sell for insitutions to buy in? I hope it wont happen this time to shut up all the BS.
