Hello, my name is Matt and I’m 17 years old. I have a job and I make above average money for my age. I’ve heard for a long time from different people (including math teachers) about how it’s good to invest early in stocks as the stock market always provides good long term returns. I have been interested in it for a long time, but I wasn’t really sure where to start. I talked to my dad, who owns many stocks, and he suggested I may want to invest in an index such as S&P 500, and I could do more as I learn a little more. He was totally in support of it and said he will help me get set up once I figure out what I want to do. So my question is, does anybody have any resources or recommendations for where to start? I’m completely willing to do the research and spend the time on it, but I obviously don’t want to put a ton of money into it blindly. So any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
