S&P Forward PE value below 5- and 10-year averages

No one know when the bottom will be reached, if it has not already. But the forward price-to-earnings for the S&P 500 is 16.6. This is below the five-year average of 18.6 and 10-year average of 16.9. This implies to me that we are at least close to the bottom. An analyst just lowered their estimate for the year-end S&P 500 to 4500 which is still more than a 10% gain from where we are. I have seen year-end estimates for the S&P 500 over 5,000 as well. That being said, the Fed is tightening which adds uncertainty. Good luck out there.

P.S.

All the shorts do not need to reply emotionally and say how much lower it is going to get because we are in a bear market. If you have facts please share them.
