I started investing in AMZN, AAPL and GOOGL years ago and have unrealized gains on the books. I also invested in some companies that have left me with some unrealized losses over the past year or two, PLTR, NET, BABA. I have also contributed to QQQ, IVV and DGRO monthly over the past year or so. I like the simple idea and proven track record of consistent ETF investing.
Would it be smart to sell off the individual equities for a wash and take the cash to continue monthly investing into the ETFs?
