22 years old with $15,000 in cash. What would you do?

Hello, all. I am 22 years old with $15,000 cash having never invested in the stock market. Since we are now officially in a bear market, it is a great time for a newcomer to buy into the market. What would you invest in? Disney, Apple, Amazon? I have about $18,000 in student loans that I am trying to pay off by the end of the year. I have $15,000 now but I have a very good job for the rest of the summer until I start my Masters in the fall. I imagine I will finish the summer with about 18k cash.

I feel it may be a bad idea to just pay off the student loans immediately when I hit $18,000 because of 1. The interest rate pause. And 2. The White House is looking into cancelling up to $10,000 in federal student loans. Would it be a better idea to invest the 15k into the very low stock market and ride until the end of the year, THEN pay off the loans, pending the White House’s decision? Or should I just pay them off immediately when I get the cash?

If I come off naive, I don’t mean to. Just looking for general advice. Any help is appreciated. Cheers.
