$100 a paycheck in VTI?

Hi, I am slowly getting my finances together but in the past have never been very good with money.

I’m at the point now where I’m making more than I need per month so I’m planning on transferring $100 per paycheck into savings and then $100 into investing. Is VTI good for this? I use fidelity.
